A symposium to discuss ongoing research of southern flounder is set for next month in New Bern.
Stakeholders are invited to join North Carolina Division of Marine Fisheries staff and researchers for the North Carolina Southern Flounder Symposium on March 20 in New Bern’s Riverfront Convention Center.
The symposium will allow stakeholders to learn about and contribute to state-specific research and management of southern flounder.
Topics will include the life history of the southern flounder, tagging efforts to track their movement and migration, the impacts of habitat and water quality on southern flounder, how the public can help, and a poster session.
