BRUNSWICK COUNTY — Results from the latest testing for GenX in the water supply in Brunswick County were below the state’s set health limits.
County officials released Monday the results of samples taken Sept. 14. The samples revealed levels of 20.3 parts per trillion in the Northwest Water Treatment Plant’s raw water source, and 25.9 parts per trillion in the finished water source.

North Carolina Health and Human Services set a health goal for exposure to GenX in drinking water at no more than 140 nanograms per liter, also referred to as parts per trillion.
