
Eastbound lanes on the Causeway Drive bridge over Banks Channel in Wrightsville Beach will be closed nightly beginning Monday.
Contract crews will close both eastbound lanes of Causeway Drive from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. Monday-Friday while they drill through the bridge deck for testing.

Drilling operations are expected to be complete by July 22, according to a North Carolina Department of Transportation news release.
The testing is part of the Wrightsville Beach bridge replacement project, an estimated $105 million endeavor that entails replacing all three bridges that connect the New Hanover County beach town.
