
The Gullah Geechee Cultural Heritage Corridor is hosting an evening conversation Friday in downtown Wilmington exploring Gullah Geechee placemaking, cultural preservation, and climate resilience.
Corridor Resiliency Manager Erica Xavier-Beauvoir will share insights from the North Carolina section of the Gullah Geechee Resiliency Plan, offer practical guidance for using the plan as an advocacy tool, and explore why addressing local environmental challenges is essential to strengthening tourism and economic development throughout the corridor.

The Gullah Geechee Cultural Heritage Corridor is a 12,000-square-mile, congressionally designated National Heritage Area.
