
The North Carolina Coastal Federation, the nonprofit organization that focuses on protecting and restoring the North Carolina coast and the publisher of Coastal Review, is set to honor stewards of the environment and others during 23rd annual Pelican Awards in Morehead City.
The event slated for Saturday, Aug. 1, at Joslyn Hall on the Carteret Community College campus at 3505 Arendell St. will pay tribute to the individuals, organizations, businesses and partners whose dedication and achievements have made a lasting difference for the North Carolina coast.
Supporter Spotlight
“For more than two decades, the Pelican Awards have recognized exemplary leadership, stewardship, and service that help protect and enhance our coast for future generations,” according to organizers.
Doors to the event will open at 3:30 p.m. with the awards ceremony set for 4 p.m. and a reception planned for 5 p.m.
