Drivers using the N.C. Highway 133 bridge to Oak Island should expect delays later this week.
The North Carolina Department of Transportation plans to conduct a routine inspection of the bridge over the Intracoastal Waterway.
The lane closures are scheduled for 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. Thursday and Friday, weather permitting.
During this time, the two-lane bridge will be in a one-lane, two-way pattern under flagging operations.
Travelers should expect brief delays and proceed with caution in the temporary traffic pattern.
