Journalist Stacia Strong recently joined the North Carolina Coastal Federation as the nonprofit group’s communications director.
The federation, which was established in 1982 to protect and restore the North Carolina coast, is publisher of Coastal Review.
Strong worked six and a half years as a reporter and television news anchor with WITN of Greenville.
“I’m very excited to be taking on this new role which is a big change from reporting and delivering the news every night. But I’m excited to help the federation expand their reach and get the word out about all of the amazing things they are doing to help restore and protect the N.C. coast,” Strong told Coastal Review Wednesday.
Strong previously worked a reporter for KKCO in Grand Junction, Colorado. She graduated from the University of Central Florida in 2013.
