WASHINGTON — The North Carolina Estuarium will have “Pi-radical” fun with all things estuary during its third annual Estuscarium.
Set for 5:30-8 p.m. Saturday, the family friendly, pirate-themed event geared toward youngsters at the Estuarium, 223 E. Water St., will celebrate all that goes bump, skitters or crawls.

The Estuarium will be decorated for Halloween and there will be carnival games, face painting, and interactive presentations. Costumes are not required but encouraged and gift bags are available to the first 30 kids through the door.
The North Carolina Estuarium features more than 200 exhibits that features vital estuaries and coastal rivers, including aquariums with crabs and other estuarine life, artwork, interactive displays, artifacts from life on the Pamlico River, explorations of hurricanes and sea level rise, Pamlico River boat tours and special programs on natural and cultural heritage.
