Four NC Solar Firms Rank Among Top 20

Four North Carolina solar companies ranked in the top 20 in Solar Power World’s Top 500 North American Contractors list.

Solar Power World is a trade journal covering solar installation, development and technology.

The companies include Chapel Hill-based Strata Solar, which is in 12^th place; Innovative Solar in Asheville, which ranks 17^th; FLS Energy, also based in Asheville, which ranks 19^th; and SunEnergy1 based in Mooresville, which is in 20^th place.

The list assesses which applicants had the most influence on the solar industry in 2015. Last year Strata Solar was the only N.C.-based company to break the top 20.

22 N.C.-based companies in total made the list this year.
