No Target Shooting at Game Land
The N.C. Wildlife Resources Commission has halted target shooting at the Holly Shelter and Stones Creek game lands in Pender and Onslow counties, effective immediately, citing habitat destruction and public safety concerns.

Pamlico Commissioners Want Answers
The Pamlico County commissioners voted last night to ask the Army Corps of Engineers to re-examine its decision that wetlands aren’t present on hundreds of forested acres near Merritt that were cleared for farming.
