‘The Flower Moon’

The May full moon is called the Flower Moon due to seasonal changes that welcome colorful May blooms.

“There were low clouds that obscured the moon as it rose above the horizon,” Bland said of the image. “Once it lifted above the clouds the moon still caught the last rays of the sun to give it a nice yellowish-orange color.”
