Celebrate Earth Day Thursday with a talk and tour of the Outer Banks Arboretum and Teaching Garden in Kill Devil Hills.
Dare County Master Gardeners are offering a free tour of the garden’s azaleas, which provide large flower masses and a variety of colors that range from red to pink to white. Azaleas come in a number of species and cultivars, many of which are native and can be grown on the Outer Banks.

There will be two 45-minute tours with the first at 10 a.m. and again at 11 a.m. Thursday It will be held rain or shine, and no pre-registration is required.
The Outer Banks Arboretum & Teaching Garden is adjacent to the Thomas A. Baum Senior Center, 300 Mustian St., Kill Devil Hills. The park is free to visit with wheelchair-accessible pathways.
