The Ferry Division has teamed up with NC Works to host the job fairs. NC Works is the state’s workforce system where job seekers can look for work, create resumes and find education and training, and employers can find candidates, post jobs and search labor market information.
The next fair is set for Feb. 2 in the NC Works Career Center, 3813 Arendell St., Morehead City. Followed on Feb. 9 in the NC Works Career Center, 3101 Bismark St., Greenville, and Feb. 16 in the Brunswick County Career Center, 5300-7 Main St., Shallotte. All are from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
The division said it would adhere to COVID-19 safety protocols, such as requiring social distancing and face coverings, during the job fair.
Representatives from the Ferry Division are to be on hand to explain the various positions available and opportunities for advancement. The Ferry Division said it offers competitive salaries, year-round, full-time permanent employment, health insurance, retirement benefits, paid vacation, holidays and sick leave.
Those attending the job fair should bring résumés and supporting documents. Applications are to be accepted for all positions at all experience levels, from entry-level parking lot attendants to experienced boat captains.
