A quasi-judicial hearing is being held 6:30 p.m. Wednesday for a setback variance on a previously approved solar project in Washington County.
Albemarle Beach Solar LLC applied for the variance to reduce the current minimum setback requirement from 300 feet from neighboring residential property boundaries in the absence of written consent by the neighboring property owners to 100 feet for all or a substantial portion of all of the property associated with the already approved project, according county officials.
