The state Environmental Management Commission and its Groundwater and Waste Management Committee are set to meet remotely this week by teleconference.
The committee will meet at 10 a.m. Wednesday with the full commission meeting at 9 a.m. Thursday. The public can join the meetings online or by visiting the listening location at the Archdale Building, 512 N. Salisbury St., Raleigh, in the Ground Floor Hearing Room. However, based on COVID-19 precautions, the capacity of the room is limited to 10 individuals and proper social distancing will be observed.

The Environmental Management Commission is responsible for adopting rules for the protection, preservation and enhancement of the state’s air, land and water resources. The commission oversees and adopts rules for several divisions of the Department of Environmental Quality, including the divisions of Air Quality; Energy, Mineral and Land Resources; Waste Management and Water Resources.
