County officials are directing those who think they have symptoms to contact their primary medical provider first. For help finding a provider, contact Brunswick County Public Health Services.
The primary medical provider will determine who should get tested and will consider if the patient has a fever or lower respiratory symptoms such as cough, shortness of breath and been close contact with a confirmed COVID-19 case within the past 14 days or if they have a negative rapid flu test.
The NCDHHS also updated its guidance Monday for medical professionals when considering whether to administer a COVID-19 test and more.
