NEW BERN — The public is welcome to attend the state’s Coastal Resources Commission’s Science Panel meeting at 10 a.m. Tuesday, when members will review inlet shoreline change rates and discuss methodologies used to update inlet hazard areas.
The meeting will take place in the Bosch and Seimens AMC Building, Room 102 at Craven County Community College, 800 College Court, New Bern.

Oral and written comments will be accepted from members of the public during the meeting.
The panel provides scientific advice to the state’s Coastal Resources Commission. The panel was created by the commission in 1997, and is composed of coastal engineers and geologists.
