WILMINGTON — The North Carolina Coastal Resources Commission scheduled for Sept. 27-28 at the New Hanover County Government Center has been canceled due to potential impacts on the Outer Banks from Hurricane Maria, the North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality announced Monday.
Items on the agenda will be moved to the meeting on Nov. 7-8, which will be held at the Hilton Double Tree, 2717 West Fort Macon Road, in Atlantic Beach. Some of the agenda items that will be moved to the November meeting include providing new commissioners with an overview of the state’s coastal program and considering amendments to rules on erosion control.
