Nominations are being accepted through Friday for one of the North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission’s most prestigious awards.
The annual Thomas L. Quay Award recognizes a person who makes outstanding contributions to the state’s wildlife diversity and considered a leader in wildlife resource conservation for nongame species, which are animals that do not have an open hunting, fishing or trapping season.
