Find out how to keep the sea and stars safe from light pollution during a special Earth Day celebration the evening of April 22 at Town Center Park in Ocean Isle Beach.

“Sea, Stars, and S’mores” is a free Earth Day celebration for families with the Museum of Coastal Carolina, Ingram Planetarium and Ocean Isle Beach.
The Sea Turtles and Light Pollution portion of the program begins at 6 p.m. There will be activities to learn about sea turtles and how to keep them safe by turning lights off on the beach.
Stargazing and Light Pollution follows at 6:30 p.m. Attendees can learn how light pollution affects stargazing and look through a telescope.
The program wraps up at 7 p.m. with s’mores provided by the town.
Activity packets with coupons to the museum and planetarium will be provided to all children who attend.
