The Onslow County bridge connecting North Topsail Beach to the mainland needs routine maintenance. The work to begin next week and continue through most of March will require a lane closure.
The state Department of Transportation announced Friday that starting Monday crews will close a lane of the two-lane N.C. 210 bridge over the Intracoastal Waterway, leaving the other lane open for traffic.

The lane closure will be 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays until March 20.
Drivers are urged to use alternate routes to avoid traffic delays. NCDOT asks drivers to be patient and use caution if the area can’t be avoided.
