Rocky Mount-based Barnhill Contracting Co. “can begin construction as soon as Oct. 27,” at the intersection near the Cross Pointe Center and Gateway Plaza shopping centers, according to an NCDOT news release.
Work at the intersection will include grading, drainage improvements, paving and traffic signal system enhancements. The project is scheduled to be complete, except for planting, by summer 2027.
Updates on the project will be available at NCDOT.gov or on the department’s social media.
