Vendors wanting priority loading on the state-run ferry traveling between Hatteras and Ocracoke Island will need to purchase individual priority passes for each vehicle.
The General Assembly passed a new law during the 2024 session that now requires each vendor vehicle traveling between Hatteras and Ocracoke to have a priority pass. Previously, multiple vehicles from the same vendor could share a single pass.
