BAYBORO — The North Carolina Division of Marine Fisheries is holding a public hearing on proposed shellfish leases in Pamlico County.
The in-person hearing is set for 6 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 20, at the Pamlico County Courthouse, Courtroom, 202 Main St., Bayboro.

The following applications are on the agenda to be heard:
- Adam Brinson for a 1.66-acre shellfish bottom lease in Bay River.
- Flying Bluebill, LLC, Willis Scott, agent, for an 8.39-acre shellfish bottom and water column lease in Jones Bay.
The public may comment on the lease application at the hearing or in writing. Written comments will be accepted until 5 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 21, and may be submitted in the following ways:
- Online via the online form.
- Mailed to the N.C. Division of Marine Fisheries, Shellfish Leases, P.O. Box 769, Morehead City, NC 28557.
