Dare County Regional Airport is celebrating its 80th anniversary 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 18, at 410 Airport Road in Manteo.
There is no charge to attend the event where there will be an array of vintage and modern aircraft, presentations about the airport’s history, historic reenactments, live music, antique cars, food trucks, a variety of vendors and a silent auction.

“This milestone celebration is a true testament to the spirit of aviation and a testament to the enduring legacy of the Dare County Airport. Join us for an extraordinary day that blends history, culture and a deep appreciation for the wonders of flight,” organizers said.
This event was originally scheduled for Sept. 23 but was postponed due to Tropical Storm Ophelia.
