The North Carolina Department of Transportation staff are hosting an open house to provide information on the replacement of three bridges in Wrightsville Beach.
The public can stop by anytime between 4 to 7 p.m. on Sept. 26 at Wrightsville Beach Baptist Church, 601 Causeway Drive, Wrightsville Beach, to learn more about the proposed projects.

The purpose of replacing the bridge on U.S. Highway 76, or Causeway Drive, and the bridges on U.S. Highway 74, or West Salisbury Street, is to replace aging structures to improve connectivity and provide a long-term, safe, and efficient crossings of Lees Cut and Banks Channel for vehicles, cyclists and pedestrians, officials said.
Project details and maps are available on the NCDOT project webpage. The information will be available at the meeting allowing for one-on-one discussions with engineers. There will be no formal presentation.
