Work continues on the project to raise the #PeaIslandRefuge Visitor Center, the US Fish and Wildlife Service in North Carolina announced Thursday on Facebook. Cape Hatteras Electric Cooperative is relocating the power lines at the same time.
Currently and until further notice, all visitor center and offices for National Wildlife Refuges in the Coastal North Carolina National Wildlife Refuges Complex will be closed to the public due to safety measures put in place locally to prevent the spread of the COVID-19.
