‘Not So Summer Hummer’

Doug Waters of Morehead City recently captured this image of a hummingbird at a feeder.

“Don’t put your hummingbird feeders away just yet,” Waters said in his submission. “Despite the chilly evenings, it seems there are still hummingbirds moving through our coastal area. I believe this to be a female ruby-throated hummingbird that stopped by our feeder.”
