Aurora museum to host National Fossil Day celebration

Love fossils? Then there’s a day just for you.

Join in a celebration of National Fossil Day Saturday for games, prizes and music at the Aurora Fossil Museum and Fossil Park.

The free event is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the museum at 400 Main St.

The Aurora Fossil Museum is open 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday until Nov. 30. The museum will be closed on Nov. 27, Thanksgiving Day.

Days and hours of operation are the same for the museum’s fossil park and fossil pits.
