The North Carolina Coastal Resources Commission will meet Tuesday in a special-called meeting to review the fiscal analyses associated with temporary rules approved by the commission earlier this year.
The commission is also expected to consider permanent rule making, which includes re-designating Jockey’s Ridge State Park as an area of environmental concern.

The commission in March unanimously adopted 16 rules as “temporary” in order to keep the rules in the state Administrative Code for one year or until the rules are reinstated as permanent.
The longstanding rules were removed from the code last October after they were objected to by the Rules Review Commission.
The commission on Tuesday will also go into closed session to discuss an ongoing lawsuit against the Rules Review Commission.
The public may join the meeting, scheduled to begin at 1 p.m., by computer or phone. A link to join by computer and details on phoning in are on the Department of Environmental Quality’s website.
A listening station will also be available at the N.C. Division of Coastal Management headquarters office at 400 Commerce Ave. in Morehead City.
