Lower Cape Fear region
The League of Women Voters of the Lower Cape Fear is partnering with CRO and the YWCA Lower Cape Fear in hosting three online candidate forums.
The New Hanover County School Board Virtual Candidate Forum is set for 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 15. Register.
The New Hanover County Commissioners Virtual Candidate Forum is set for 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 16. Register.
A Legislative Virtual Candidate Forum for candidates running to represent House Districts 18, 19 and 20, and Senate District 9 is set for 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 17. Register.

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting on Zoom.
If you miss a forum on Zoom, the LWVLCF plans to show them on Facebook Live and will be recording the forums for YouTube.
Dare County
The Dare County League of Women Voters is hosting a county commissioners candidate forum 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 22.
On the ballot are Steve House, Kathy McCullough-Testa, Amanda Hooper Walters, Bob Woodard, as well as unopposed candidates Danny Couch and Wally Overman.
The board of education candidate forum will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 24.
On the ballot are Jen Alexander, Bea Basnight, Susan Bothwell, Charles Parker, David Twiddy and Carl Woody II and unopposed candidate Mary Ellon Ballance.
After registering, a link to attend the webinar will be sent to your inbox. This will allow you to join the webinar on the assigned date and time.

The forums will also be recorded and made available on YouTube, Current TV and other local outlets.
Brunswick County
A candidate forum for the Brunswick County Board of Education is set for 7 p.m. Sept. 22.
District 2 candidates Republican Donald Robinson and Sherrill Jolly have agreed to participate.
Register to join the Brunswick County Board of Education forum.
Organizers said that no other Republican candidates in Brunswick County would agree to participate in any of the league’s proposed forums, making this the only one to be scheduled.
